Patanjali’s eightfold path. Pattabhi Jois, who was a student
of Krishnamacharya, developed a series of poses based on purifying
practices described in ancient texts. These series of poses
energize the body and mind and challenge the practitioner on
a deep level. |

through yoga. Through this systemized positioning of the body,
each individual part functions at its best potential which is
important for a healthy foundation in all asana practices. Iyengar

serious back injuries to osteoarthritis, depression and menopause.
Body and mind are stretched beyond their normal limits and a
sense of meditation and inner peace is obtained. |
